LOXLEY Wireless recently signed a memorandum of understanding with China Telecom Global to propose to TOT that they jointly become a strategic partner of the state agency. Vasant Chatikavanij, Loxley senior executive vice president, said the two partners submitted the joint proposal to TOT to jointly develop broadband Internet and fourth-generation wireless network. Vasant said that with the backing by China Telecom and major Chinese telecom-equipment manufacturer Huawei Technologies, Loxley was ready to become a strategic partner of TOT. China Telecom's businesses include 4G, broadband and datacentre services, with several million subscribers in the private and state sectors in China. Vasant said Loxley was also keen to expand its collaboration with China Telecom in the future in Thailand with the focus on the projects that the government has encouraged the private sector to invest in. These include projects related to the "digital economy", the state development of cloud services,and e-government projects.
